Are you paying for the candles in your yoga studio?

When you do yoga in a yoga studio near me you might start wondering what you are paying for. It obviously depends on which yoga studio and which yoga classes you go to. If your yoga studio is in an expensive property, you might be contributing to the rent. If the candles are beautiful and scented, you might be contributing to the purchase of these too. But it does not really matter, does it? What does matter is that you get to do fantastic yoga in a beautiful setting with a good teacher. Yoga, and you can do yoga on the beach, can be done anywhere and in any which way. You get to choose how and where you want to do it.

Yoga as a retreat

Yoga is a retreat and yoga lessons their own reward, even if you just go once a week. Yoga is about the solitude of a yoga studio, the quiet, the peaceful chanting, the candles or the gentle aroma of incense. And it is about your teacher, their quiet voice, the way they lead you from one post to another. Yoga, and we go back to the question of if you are paying for the candles and the incense, maybe. But the costs are so small that is not an issue. What is important is that the space you choose to practice in is lovely, appealing, welcoming and tranquil. Because yoga at the end of the day is about tranquillity and peace.

When you do yoga on a regular basis you do get fit and strong. You can develop extraordinary strength. But yoga is something you do at your own pace and each person has different strengths. Yoga in particular offers an emotional strength and this is what you look for in a  good yoga studio near me. With or without the candles.
