What you shouldn’t and should eat before a yoga workout

Have you ever had a bad yoga Newport workout but you cannot explain why? It is time to think about what fuels you. You need proper fuel just like a car to function efficiently. Food fuels our bodies during a workout. When you eat, the food has to be digested and absorbed in order to produce energy. Here are some tips on what to eat and what not to eat before your yoga training.

Avoid proteins and fats
Consuming fat and protein before your yoga exercise should be avoided at all cost. This is because proteins and fats break down slowly and the nutrients are absorbed over a long period of time. You can eat these foods at any other time of the day when you want to feel full. These foods are however not ideal before a workout. Avoid things like nuts, yoghurt and seeds 60 minutes before the exercise.

Eat carbs that have low fibre
You can eat carbohydrates before going to a yoga Newport Beach NSW class. This is because they digest faster. Your body breaks them down faster and they can be used as fuel for your yoga training. They can be used to produce immediate energy. You can eat 100 calories snacks that are composed of carbs if you are going for a workout in 30 to 60 minutes time. You can go for a cup of strawberries, a cup of melon, a cup of strawberries, vegetable soup or any other food that contains carbs that are quick to digest.

If you make a few adjustments to your diet before and after yoga Newport training then you will feel more energetic and you will be in the right mood for training. You should get more out of your workout by eating the right foods. Foods that take long to digest should not be eaten before training.
